What we do at Detectify
Detectify was born from the simple idea that the internet is broken. Our founders are some of the best ethical hackers out there. Between them, they have hacked some of the biggest tech companies in the world and now they are sharing their knowledge as part of our tech teams.
The knowledge they accumulated from ethical hacking turned into an application security tool that automates hacker attacks. Today, in addition to our internal research, we collaborate with a global group of handpicked white-hat hackers to gather security tests. Our tool is trusted and used by some of the most widely known companies such as Spotify, Trello, and King. Based in central Stockholm, Sweden, we are currently a team of 50 employees and growing quickly.
The role and responsibility
Our CMO is going on maternity leave. Therefore, we are looking for someone that wants to take on the role of interim CMO but also stay in the organization long term. We believe in the joint development of people and the organization and therefore we are looking for someone for this role that will be employed full-time by us and take on another challenging role within our fast-growing organization once our CMO returns.
In the role of CMO, you will get to put your mark on our marketing strategy while working alongside our exclusive network of top-ranked white-hat hackers. You will manage and expand our global marketing team and have full budget responsibility for Detectify’s marketing. Apart from coaching your team, you will continuously initiate and run cross-functional collaborations with our tech, data, customer success, and sales teams to ensure we scale successfully. The role will also let you:
- Plan, implement and execute on marketing strategy and budget to ensure the growth of the company
- Full responsibility for the top part of the funnel but also a strong influence on product decisions that impact user activity metrics
- Create content and coach the team in producing engaging content in different formats (blog posts, sales material, videos, webinars, emails etc)
- Maximize the value of PR
- Work with event strategy and execution to get the most effect out of our budget. This year our marketing team was involved in 30+ events
- Continuously follow-up on data and qualitative research methods to make customer-centric decisions
Who you are
Of course, you are a person that has great communication, organizational and project management skills. You thrive in an international environment, working with our global customer base and our diverse team of 18 different nationalities.
As our CMO, it is important that you are not only a strong communicator in your own right but that you also are able to coach and help many of our internal speakers to become even better presenters. This goes hand in hand with coaching and developing the team that you will be leading so, therefore, we believe that you are a person with solid management experience.
As working with and above all, tracking content marketing and acquisition KPIs is an important part of our marketing strategy, data-driven marketing and analysis should be second-nature to you.
